I started taking microgestin fe 120 for a week now. I want to start a family now. Doctors prescribe me a low dose birth control to help regulate my cycle. How do I get pregnant with a low dose birth control? Any advice or tips
what the birth control is doing is getting you regular – taking this rout can take several months to conceive but for those who have very irregular cycles it has been known to help. it seems counter productive but in the long run can save time. first of all you will need to be on birth control for a couple of months. when you stop taking it you will want to chart your basal body temperatures on a website like fertility friend http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2dc116 by doing that you will be able to see when you ovulated and cross check your days you had sex. you can also use ovulation prediction kits which will let you know shortly before you ovulate so you know before hand when to baby dance. the purpose of regulating your cycle is to get your body ovulating normally as well. only time will tell but good luck to you. if you wanted to stop the birth control now you would probably immediately start your period and thus begin the first day of your cycle so you could start charting and observing signs and learning what to look for to know when you are close to ovulating.

Stop taking it………..
If by some miracle you do get pregnant and you are taking it, you may increase the chances of birth defects.
Talk to your doctor. No one here can really help with a question such as this one.
